A total of 1,520 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2019 semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. More than 1,200 graduate as part of CCU's Class of 2019
Coastal Carolina University graduates are exactly what the world needs, according to commencement speaker and doctoral candidate Leigha Peterson. Peterson addressed the graduating class of 2019 - more than 1,200 students - during three separate commencement ceremonies at the HTC Student Recreation and Convocation Center May 10-11. "Whatever you are, put it out there," she said, "because it is better than good enough. It is exactly what the world needs!"

National Society of Leadership and Success Inducts more than 180 Kutztown University Students in Spring 2019 Class
More than 180 Kutztown University students have been inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) as part of the Spring 2019 class. To be inducted at KU, students must attend an orientation, a three-hour leadership training seminar, three success networking team meetings and three speaker broadcasts featuring leading figures delivering success-related messages to members.

CCU Honors Class of 2019 is the largest yet
The Coastal Carolina University Honors Class of 2019 is the largest in history, with 83 graduates earning a total of 89 degrees. Each student has completed a rigorous curriculum consisting of at least 24 credit hours of honors courses while maintaining at least a cumulative GPA of 3.5. The average GPA of this spring's graduating class is 3.72. Each honors student also completes a final honors thesis or project which is presented in a public forum.

Bloomsburg University Board of Governors Program students to graduate
Bloomsburg University's Board of Governors Scholars Program celebrated the graduation of 32 of its members with guest speaker Kristin Austin, a Frederick Douglass Fellow, Teaching and Learning. Michaela Maw, a sophomore sociology and criminal justice major, served as master of ceremony. The Board of Governors Scholar Program targets students who excel academically including students of various races, and students majoring in liberal arts science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Recipients are required to participate in a structured program dedicated to the enhancement of retention and graduation rates.

Bloomsburg University Holds 2019 College of Liberal Arts Research Day
Students from the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania College of Liberal Arts (COLA) presented their research to an audience of their peers on April 24, 2019 during COLA Research and Creative Projects Day. Nearly 60 students representing 9 fields of study exhibited their work in McCormick Center for the Humanities throughout the day on a wide range of topics, from Evaluating the Influence of Mood on Intentional and Incidental Memory to Considering Perceptions of Dietary Decision-Making and Judgement. COLA Research and Creative Projects Day was created several years ago to allow students from a number of disciplines to showcase their work to fellow students, faculty and staff, as well as practice their presentation and networking skills for future career. The exposure to these presentations is also vital to encouraging other students to conduct and present their own research.. "Research and Creative Projects Day showcases the breadth of high-impact experiences of which students may take part as a Liberal Arts student at Bloomsburg University" explained Dr. James Brown, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts.

2019 Conference Services Assistants
Conference Services Assistants report to the Director of Conference Services and live on campus for the summer. They provide quality and efficient customer service to guests who may be on campus for a day or several weeks. Their responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of all guests, facilitating guest check-ins and check-outs, assisting with move-outs and damage assessments, communicating and enforcing conference policies, working at campus events, and acting as a liaison between guests and Conference Services.

Alpha Phi Omega Students Awarded
Cedar Crest College's Alpha Phi Omega Chapter was awarded the 2019 Alpha Phi Omega Youth Service Grant for programming that the organization will be doing with local children and youth during the month of April. Projects will include working with the Campus Earth Day Celebration and the local Cherry Blossom Festival in Cedar Beach park. According to the International Alpha Phi Omega website, "the goal of the Youth Service Grant is to provide funding for Alpha Phi Omega chapters for programming that will encourage, inspire, and make an impact on children and young people in a socially positive manner."

Wilkes University Students Participate in Alternative Break Trip to North Carolina
Eight Wilkes University students are participating in a LEAP-AB trip to the Carolina Tiger Rescue in North Carolina. LEAP-AB stands for Leadership, Education, Advocacy, and Partnerships-Alternative Break, coined by student leaders in 2016. Students are donating their time at the tiger rescue, doing work which addresses animal welfare issues. Activities include general sanctuary maintenance including daily animal care tasks and the building of new enclosures.

KU Department of Communication Design Holds Annual Senior Student Awards
The Department of Communication Design held its Senior Student Awards Sunday, April 14, which included the grand opening of the Senior Student Showcase at the Marlin and Regina Miller Gallery. Department faculty joined dozens of guests for the ceremony. Kutztown University Announces Fall 2018 Degree Recipients
Kutztown University has conferred degrees for more than 450 students for the Fall 2018 semester. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees following the fall 2018 semester. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80.
